Some good news...Jaren will hopefully be out of ICU today :) They are still waiting for a few test results before moving forward with a plan.
No new news to share. The Barney family is having a special fast for Jaren Sunday if you would like to join in. They are VERY thankful to all of you for your thoughts and prayers on their behalf!

They are hoping to wean Jaren from his breath support a little around 4 or 5 this afternoon. They have lowered his sedation so he can respond a little bit now :)
Just a reminder...BECOME AN ORGAN DONOR!
Just a reminder...BECOME AN ORGAN DONOR!
Heaven forbid a tragedy should strike your family...but please remember, organ donation can save a life! Please talk to your family and make your wishes known...I HAVE! Jaren is blood type O positive. A 'designated gift' of a liver could save his life! Spread the word!
Jaren was moved to the ICU yesterday because he is having difficulty breathing and is very sick. I'll share more details when the family has had a chance to consult more with the doctors and know for sure what course of action they are going to take with this aggressive cancer.

Have a little more news about Jaren...
The cancer was more invasive than the doctors had originally thought. Darren and Lana will be meeting with all the specialists in just a little while to figure out a treatment plan. More tests to follow. Please continue to keep Jaren and his family in your prayers! Thanks!

A new fight...
This past week has brought a new fight to Jaren's life...thyroid cancer. He received the news on Friday and is in surgery this morning at the Huntsman's Cancer Center to remove his thyroid and affected lymph nodes. We will know more this afternoon about the prognosis but we already know that Jaren is a fighter! Please keep him and his family in your prayers and thoughts. They have received so much strength from the prayers of our caring community and beyond and are so appreciative to all of you for everything!
I will post again this afternoon to keep you updated.
Thanks again to ALL of you!
